About Shaily
Patient, qualified, and passionate about maths
I am a qualified teacher (QTS) with a background in Architecture (B.Arch.) and extensive experience teaching and tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths. My academic and professional journey has given me a strong foundation in logical thinking, problem-solving, and clear communication — skills that are essential for success in Maths.
I chose to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand topics they once found difficult and watching their confidence grow. Many students come to me feeling unsure or anxious about Maths — my role is to help them feel supported, capable, and in control of their learning.
I am known for being patient, calm, and approachable, and I take time to understand how each student learns best. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can make progress — whether the goal is to build confidence, close gaps in understanding, or aim for higher grades.
Parents can be assured that I teach in a structured, professional, and supportive manner, with a clear focus on the curriculum and exam expectations. I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared, and committed to each student's success.
I also currently teach GCSE and A-Level Maths at an adult education college, working with mature students returning to education — whether for career changes, university access courses, or personal development. This experience has made me even more adaptable as a tutor, comfortable working with learners of all ages and backgrounds.

Scholarship Places
Two free places on every course
The autumn batches are now full, so applications received now are considered for the next batch, planned for December 2026 / January 2027.
Cost shouldn't decide who gets good teaching. Each 6-week course keeps two places aside, completely free, for students who would benefit but for whom the fee is a real obstacle.
There's no means-testing paperwork and no awkward interview — just tell me, in your own words, why the place would help. I read every application myself, and a short note from a parent or teacher is welcome but not required.
If a place is offered, it's held with a small fully-refundable deposit, which comes straight back to you once the student has attended. That's only there to make sure a free place doesn't sit empty while another student misses out.
